The people behind Christiani & Bested A/S are Christian Christiani and Kai W. Bested.
Together they hold more than 60 years of experience within the Retail trade in Denmark as well as abroad.
Prior to founding Christiani & Bested A/S, they worked together within a larger International Real Estate Company. After the closure of this Company, Christiani & Bested A/S was established.
Christian Christiani
Christian Christiani graduated in 1984 from Handelshøjskolen (the School of Commerce) in Copenhagen with a Masters Degree in business adminstration.
Since he has hold a row of positions with focus on Retail concepts among other within the Carlsberg Group as assistant to the board of Directors, Retail Director for Royal Copenhagen and Georg Jensen, as well as Marketing and Business Development Director for Georg Jensen. Christian Christiani has as a result of the above, with the generel management, the responsibility of development and marketing of the international Retail chains and with most of the world as his workplace thereby build a solid knowledge within the Retail business.
Christian Christiani was from 2005 to 2007 employed as Retail Director within an larger International Real Estate Company.
Kai W. Bested
Kai W. Bested has for 19 years been working at the Dansk Supermarked Group (Bilka, Føtex and Netto) which is owned by A.P. Møller-Maersk and is the largest private owned Retail concern in Denmark with more than 1,200 shops in Denmark, Germany, UK, Polen and Sweden. Kai W. Bested was employed within Netto A/S as COO and was in charge of the shops, Real estate, establishment, logistic and the economy.
Prior to the above, Kai W. Bested was employed for 6 years at the Aldi Market foodstores in Denmark, where he held the responsibility for managing the entire chain.
Originally he holds a Degree within Retail and Commerce starting out at the famous tailor “Brødrene Andersen”, Østergade in Copenhagen.
Kai W. Bested has recently worked as Director for a larger Internatioanl Real Estate Company.
